"My Game Is Tomb Raider Meets Guitar Hero But Epic."

Crest developer Eat Create Sleep has launched an "indie pitch generator," which is sure to keep you busy for a little while today. Simply press the "make a new pitch" button and a new concept will appear.

Some of my favorites so far: "My game is Tomb Raider meets Guitar Hero but epic"; "That game is like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but without gameplay"; and "My game is Final Fantasy VII meets Rock Band but with permadeath." Try it for yourself right here. You can then share your results on Twitter.

Eat Create Sleep has also launched a free mini-game, Eat Create Sleep Adventures, that parodies what it's like to be an indie game developer. The game is playable in your browser, via Unity WebGL, right here.

Specifically, it tells the story of the fist year of development on Eat Create Sleep god's game, Crest. Watch a trailer for the game below, which Eat Create Sleep admits is "shameless advertising" for Crest. The game is available now on Steam Early Access for $5.

Eat Create Sleep has also marked down the Crest Supporter Edition by 15 percent to $6.79. This comes with an additional free key to share with a friend.

Why do any of this? Eat Create Sleep says the pitch generator and mini-game are part of their effort to try to bring attention to Crest, specifically for its extra modules. Should the team get enough funding, the modules to be released in the months ahead include: October (City States), November (Faith), December (Exploration), and January (Ancestor Worship).
