New Transformers 5 Photos Reveal Epic Explosions

While some filmmakers are incredibly secretive about the work that goes on while a movie is in production, others love to keep their fans updated. Michael Bay is one such director, who has been providing plenty of behind-the-scenes looks at the currently-shooting Transformers: The Last Knight. Last month, Bay revealed the latest member of the robotic cast, an Autobot called Squeeks. This follows the new looks given to fan favourites Bumblebee and Barricade.

Transformers: The Last Knight will be released in June 2017. Mark Wahlberg returns from 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction, and will be joined by Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins.

Earlier this year Paramount announced that it will be releasing a new Transformers movie every year until at least 2019. The studio confirmed the release dates for the next three movies: Transformers 6 is scheduled to debut on June 8, 2018, and Transformers 7 will follow on June 28, 2019.

In January, Bay confirmed that although he was returning to the director's chair for The Last Knight, it will be his final movie in the series. "I still have a great time," he told Rolling Stone. "It's fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see. But this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else. It's time to move on. One more."
