Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Now Free With EA/Origin Access

A new game has been added to the free game catalogs for EA Access and Origin Access.

EA's wacky shooter, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, was added to the Xbox One and PC free game vaults this week. Everyone with a subscription can play the full game as much as they want as long as their subscription remains active. The original Garden Warfare is already available in the program on both platforms.

Garden Warfare 2 is just the latest game added to EA/Origin Access this summer. Need for Speed and Unravel arrived in July for Xbox One and PC, while SSX landed on Xbox One in August.

Coming up next for EA Access (but not Origin Access) will be the early release of NHL 17. Starting on September 8, subscribers on Xbox One can play NHL 17. Additionally, FIFA 17 will be playable for EA Access and Origin Access users on September 22.

In both cases, the games debut five days before their public release, as has been the case for previous games. NHL 17 is only coming to consoles, while FIFA 17 will be released across consoles and PC.

EA Access is available for $5 per month or $30 per year. In addition to access to games in the Vault, it provides discounts on digital EA purchases and early access to select games. Origin Access has the same benefits, but is only offered on a monthly basis.
