Seriously, just read it. I started devouring it as being a formula one fan is so hard to find a well written book which goes into the specific. The last chapters made me cry knowing I will never find another F1 book this good. THANK YOU LAUREN ASHER!

Adrenaline rush at 1000/h. And all you'll have to do is put you safe belt on and enjoy the ride! Noah is going to give you the ride of your life. (* All meanings included).
The story will get you in F1 life. You see and learn a little more about it but not at the point to be boring of all those technical details ( because I can understand not everyone is into cars and stuff) and it also will bring you... behind the scenes, revealing secrets about it. Hilarious moments are great mixed with steamy ones. Emotional vibe ALWAYS involved.
The characters are pretty entertaining and match perfectly.
Add in that mix a forbidden fruit (girl) that he craves and tempt him with every turn he takes. It's dangerous and unpredictable just like each one of those races, but if he takes areisk on it ...well let's say he will win the love championship...
Secondary characters? They often interact with the main ones. With is great for the storyline, flued by all the feelings, angst moments and hot ones.
It's a pretty great book to pick up if you are a sport/forbidden romance fan

An incredibly inspiring and wild ride kinda story that will steal your heart with the speed of an F1 car.

‘Throttled’ by Lauren Asher is book one in the ‘Dirty Air’ series, it was a first time read for me that now has me wanting for more, to keep an eye out for the rest of this amazingly written series.

This is a one of a kind book, something different to what’s out now, something that will leave your heart full of joy, your face hurting and the love you feel from this book leaving its trace all over your life.
It is a novel full of wonderful characters with sometimes fragile egos and quirky personalities, full of boss women who take no sh*t from anyone and cocky guys who think the world is laid out just for them,

A book full of facts that could’ve made it boring, but that in this case, they rendered the book more appealing, more interesting, bringing light to a life and a sport you might not have even looked at twice.

Maya is a quirky and funny postgraduate who is trying to figure out what to do with her life while tagging along with her brother Santi during his upcoming year of racing as an F1 driver for the Bandini team.
She is sassy and funny, sarcastic as h*ll, poised and confident, ready to take on the world one step at a time and even more ready to step on egotistical as*holes who think can tell her what do you.
She is a beautiful and talented young woman who is doing everything in her power to become someone in a world full of look-alikes while also trying her hardest to ignore the pull and attraction she feels towards the only guy she can’t have.

Noah is said egotistical alpha male who has the world at his feet, women in his bed and racing on his mind. He is self-assured and overly confident, he is drop-dead gorgeous with a good sense of humor and a good head on his shoulders. He can come across as mean, cold and distant but the closer you get to him, the more you understand where he comes from, where his behaviors come from and why he does the things he does and acts the way he does. He is calculating and cocky, a real talent behind a wheel and under the sheets, but underneath all that hard and tough exterior hides a broken man lacking in affection, a passionate and caring friend, an unconditional lover and a loyal partner.

Maya and Noah’s pull and pull, back and forth, angsty arguments filled with sexual tension are what makes this book truly good, obviously other that the incredible characters and innovative storytelling.
Their relationship starts as a slow burn, slowly building of tension, stolen glances and heated moment that will end up exploding in a big mess of sparks when they actually come together.

This is an amazing story from all angles. A great weekend read to keep you ready until the start of the F1 season, filling you up with all the goodness that comes from watching Formula 1 and more, quirky and annoyingly handsome characters, laugh out loud scenes, passionate kisses and the best of the book world in general.

This is a must-read if you love to laugh and dream while reading a book, if you want something unique, something different, something that will leave you happy and fulfilled.

I went into the book completely blind, sure I would love it because I love Lauren Asher's storytelling, and it did not disappoint! I actually listened to Throttled on audiobook and the choice of narrators was absolute perfection: Aiden Snow and Ramona Master are the perfect Noah and Maya and really bring the characters and the story to life!

Noah and Maya's chemistry was great and palpable from the start. I loved their banter and watching them becoming friends first and then falling in love with each other. Maya's sunny personality complemented Noah's grumpy and reserved attitude so well and watching former playboy Noah falling first and so hard for Maya had me swoon for days. Noah's relationship with his parents was really hard to read about, but I loved when he finally cut ties with both of them, realizing, through therapy and thanks to Maya, that love is not conditional and that he could set boundaries for himself.

I cannot wait to continue on with the rest of the Dirty Air series!!

best sports romance I’ve read

Okay, this has been on my bookshelf for about a year and wow, I’m so glad i read it. I only starting reading sports romances last year, and hockey is the only sport I’ve read and I do love it. But this, might be the best sports romance I’ve ever read. The sport is actually evident throughout the entire book, I felt like I was on the race track, I knew nothing about racing before and it definitely wasn’t a thing for me, but wow. I feel like the story was enhanced because of how well written the entire theme, being F1 racing, was throughout the entire book. Everything else I’ve read is just the romance with a side of the sport, this was so well written and the story kept me wanting more. I didn’t get bored at any point, and I kept wanting to know where the race and season was going to go next. I also love that this wasn’t just a fall in love within 2 weeks kind of romance, this was an entire year, with all the ups and downs, which gave time for a lot of personal growth and development to occur. The characters are a chef kiss, I loved the sass and banter, the relationships and friendships built. I understood and related to Maya so much in not knowing what comes after college and wanting to have time to figure herself out and make mistakes. Super well written and truly beautiful!

O que falar sobre Lauren Asher ( suspiro)kkk. Comecei a ler a 4 dias e já terminei o 3 livro da autora.
Essa história é fofa demais, amei ver a Maya se descobrindo e Noah evoluindo. Para mim a construção foi um pouco rápida demais e sem grandes “problemas”, tudo se revolveu bem depressa sem maiores emoções. Geralmente eu gosto de mais drama. Mas eu gostei mesmo assim, mal posso esperar para ler toda a sequência.

This book was utter perfection! The storyline and plot weren't rushed and were kept in a nice place throughout. Everything about this book was perfect for me.

I think my only critiqued be that I wish the book was longer as I absolutely fell in love with Naoh and Maya! Will definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series.
