I loved this book from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down for a second it was just so good. This is like the holy grail of the enemies to lovers trope and I don’t think I’ve ever read anything with this trope that’s written so well. The characters, the plot, the style *chefs kiss*

I loved this book, it was really well written, never vulgar, funny and full of feelings and beautiful emotions. Everything revolves around the love story between Josh and Lucy and it's easy to get caught in it. While reading, I felt like I was able to feel the same things the main characters were feeling, I almost felt breathless, butterflyes in my stomach, tears coming up...so reading this story was really a very good experience. However I feel like I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 , because I got this sensation, like in the end everything was kinda rushed to the end, and some things in the story felt too much cliché. But I swear to to you that I read it with so much pleasure that I want to read it again in the future. So you should read it too!!

Loved this book to pieces. At some point, I seriously stopped reading for a few minutes to shiver. Picked it up and finished it without putting it down. AMAZING!

Mi è piaciuto, perché ha quello che cercavo - il rivals to lovers per esempio, ma di base non è meraviglioso. Lucy è veramente imbarazzante spesso e volentieri, e non per il suo problema di compiacere la gente: quello lo capisco. È proprio lei con lui, che santo cielo, mi fa venire voglia di urlare e prenderla a pizze in faccia. E non oso immaginare come sia stato tradotto in italiano. Ciononostante non sopporti lei, lui è già più comprensibile. È un uomo ferito e super corazzato, eppure trova il modo di essere dignitoso nonostante il suo amore per lei. Non è imbarazzante, lei si.
Cosa che a lei proprio non riesce. Prima lo oggettifica, poi ci ripensa e sottoneggia. Io sono sconvolta. Secondo me, questo libro sarebbe uscito meglio se qualcuno di abbastanza sveglio lo avesse redatto.

Potevate fare molto meglio.

So, this is a rom com book… It’s not high literature, but I found it extremely pleasant and I would recommend it. It doesn’t claim to be hight literature, it doesn’t claim to talk about important social matters (and then do so in a very poor way), it presents itself as a rom com book and a rom com book it is. An extremely pleasant one that I enjoyed reading. The characters are interesting and you don’t feel like you can’t stand them, you like them and feel for them.

Love the characters and the plot. Realistic and believable. The character development is also really well done. The banter and sizzle is too good. No unnecessary drama. Beautiful love story. Also really nice to read about a hurt and cautious ML rather than typical alpha males.

I couldn’t put this book down. What I loved in it the most is that the whole story is a gigantic cliche, however, the way it’s implemented felt fresh and entertaining. In other words, some parts of the story managed to be non-cliche still.
Some elements are annoyingly repetitive (Lucy being short and Josh being big and having a good body), but ultimately, it makes sense in terms of the dynamic between them and both of them protecting each other in different ways and in different situations.
The two major plot-twists towards the end were completely predictable for me but the story and the characters were enjoyable and engaging notwithstanding.
I give 5 starts in any case, cos in its category, this book stands for what it is meant to be: a captivating, enjoyable and entertaining easy read.

I kind of disliked the beginning of the book, all these games that made me confused. The end was pretty okay I guess, but it was pretty predictable. And then we have these damned tiktok stickers that are plaster at the front of the book smh…
