Ok so I just want to preface this review with I am at fault for not reading the fact that this is not a U.S. version of the game (for this fact alone I am not giving the game a bad star rating as the game is AWESOME). I just saw a low price and bought it for my girl and I since we loved the 1st one given to us for free through PSN. Well, the game worked just fine and we 3 starred all content. Then we decided to buy all the DLC content of which there were like 5. It just sat as waiting to install on the PS4. No matter what we did the PS4 wouldn't recognize the game to finish the installs on the DLC's. I ended up buying the game AGAIN in US format so we can play the DLC's. By the way, all our progress... also didn't carry over from a non-US version of the game. So we are starting all over again... good thing we enjoy this game to bits or I would be much more upset.

We never played the first version of this game but found it through reviews an recommendations while looking for a great PS4 game to play with the children and family - as an alternative for the children that could play Mario Kart for the whole weekend on our old trusted WII. This game does the trick as its lots of fun trying to compose a meal in a while putting out fires and washing dishes.

+ Easy to learn and understand, although I must say that our five-year old, although reasonably proficient with video games that are much more complex, struggles and lost interest initially.
+ Casual game type where cooperation lies at the core, rather than competition – there are not that many video games with this attribute.
+ Offers some culinary education as well – my daughter now thinks she can make sushi.
+ Exciting game, with lots of challenges that lead to satisfaction or shouts of frustration while the timer ticks away.
+ Price

The drawbacks are limited to;
- graphics of the video between gameplay are of low quality, the added narrative is boring. So every video sequence is too lengthy and not adding much to the game.

So overall I'm very pleased with this delightful co-op experience. Loved to play it as its simple and intuitive. Our 9 year old daughter seems hooked after just playing a few rounds and has been asking constantly to put the game back on.
