It was only last month when we got word that Borderlands 2 would be hitting the PlayStation VR and today, developer Gearbox has announced a brand new live-action trailer for fans of the series.

In the short video trailer, we first notice a woman who puts on her PSVR to get down and dirty to some Borderlands gameplay. She then "becomes" Maya, jumping around with ease and killing her way through some enemies as the radio plays a show tune from The King and I which is sung by Anna Leonowens. It actually works pretty well, surprisingly! We also see Maya Phaselock-wedging some baddies too as she slides around Pandora.

Borderlands 2 has obviously gone through some changes when it converted itself for the VR, but one of the biggest is that it's no longer playable with another and now it will be a sole adventure. Personally speaking, I've always found that playing on the vast lands of Pandora on your own to be, at times, quite uneventful, but hopefully with the VR it will be immersive enough to captivate the player.

If you didn't catch the last trailer for Borderlands 2 VR, you can watch it here and get a feel of what you can expect if you decide to pick it up.

Borderlands 2 VR will release on December 14, 2018, and will retail for $49.99/£39.99. You can pre-order from the PlayStation store, which includes a PlayStation theme.
