Kentucky Route Zero coming to console in 2018 with all five acts (update)

TV Edition marks its console debut

Kentucky Route Zero is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early 2018, with the Switch version revealed by Nintendo during its summer Nindies showcase presentation. The game, called Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition, will include the game’s fifth and final act, which has yet to be released.

TV Edition will be a complete collection of the Kentucky Route Zero saga. Alongside the fifth act, the console version of the game will also include the previously released interlude installments.

Developer Cardboard Computer has teamed with Annapurna Interactive, a relative newcomer in the games publishing space, to bring the game to Switch. It will be Kentucky Route Zero’s first console release.

Kentucky Route Zero began as a small Kickstarter project in 2012, with the first of the planned five acts released in 2013. The most recent installment launched last July.

Update: Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition will also launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All three versions will launch alongside the PC release of the game’s fifth act.
