Xbox One Version of Dinosaur Game Ark Coming Very Soon
The Xbox One version of PC dinosaur game Ark: Survival Evolved is coming soon, very soon, it sounds like. Developer Studio Wildcard has teased that its release is "imminent" for Microsoft's console.
It was previously confirmed that Ark's Xbox One version would arrive sometime this winter. The game comes to console through the Xbox One's Early Access-style Game Preview program, which is fitting, considering the PC version remains in Early Access on Steam.
Ark's non-final status hasn't kept people away, however, as the PC edition has sold more than 2 million copies to date. It costs $30 on Steam, though as part of Game Preview on Xbox One, users will be able to play a free trial, then decide if they want to commit. It is unclear, however, if the PC edition's numerous updates will be included with the Xbox One release.
Other games in the Game Preview program include The Long Dark, Elite: Dangerous, and DayZ, the latter of which was recently delayed to 2016.
The full, complete version of Ark is slated to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2016. For more on Ark, check out GameSpot's Early Access review.
