Dead Rising Dev Working on Two Unannounced Projects

Capcom Vancouver, the team behind Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 3, is hiring devs to work on two new unannounced projects being developed using Epic's Unreal Engine 4.

The recruitment drive was announced on the Capcom Unity blog, where Capcom's Kellen Haney said the studio is "adding a whole bunch" of development positions to grow their team.

"You may be familiar with the acclaimed Dead Rising franchise. Today, the team behind the games has some great news to share," he said. "They're working with Epic Games to utilize Unreal Engine 4 for their upcoming projects, and they're hiring! It doesn't matter if you've covered wars, you know."

A job listing on the official Capcom Jobs page says Capcom Vancouver wants "smart, passionate and dedicated people to help us make our open-world action games," suggesting the games may be something in the same vein as Dead Rising.

The last game Capcom Vancouver released was Dead Rising 3, which was initially exclusive to the Xbox One, but was later released on PC. It launched with support for Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Trading Cards, leaderboards, and controller functionality.

Little is known about what Capcom Vancouver has been working on since.
