Sniper Elite 4 announced, to run at 1080p on PS4 & Xbox One

Sniper Elite 4 is in development, due for release later this year.

Sniper Elite series developer Rebellion has today announced Sniper Elite 4. The new game is a direct sequel to Sniper Elite 3, continuing the story of marksman Karl Fairburne.

Fairburne travels to Italy this time, fighting alongside the Italian Resistance to rid the country of Fascism. He's also on a mission to defeat a “new threat” that could halt Allied advancements in Europe.

Sniper Elite 4 runs at 1080p on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and features the largest maps in the series. Campaign, co-op, as well as multiplayer modes are all making a return.
