Titanfall Coming to EA's Origin Access PC Service

EA has announced acclaimed first-person multiplayer shooter, Titanfall, is coming to Origin Access. This means that those with a subscription to the service will be able to play it for free, along with numerous other games from the publisher's catalogue.



Titanfall was release in March 2014 for PC and Xbox OneThe announcement was made on the Origin Insider Twitter account. Although the publisher confirmed Titanfall will be added to Origin Access, it didn't say exactly when.

— Origin (@OriginInsider) March 10, 2016Origin Access is the PC version of Xbox One's EA Access service. It was launched on January 12, and allows subscribers to play a range of PC games for a monthly fee.



The service launched with 15 games in total, including Battlefield 4, Dead Space 2, and Dragon Age: Inquisition, among others. Membership costs $4.99 per month in the US and Canada, while it's £3.99 and €3.99 in the UK and Germany respectively.



"At EA, we're passionate about giving our players more variety, more flexibility, more value, and more fun," the publisher said when announcing the PC version of Access. "Origin Access brings players endless gaming with a growing collection of great PC games."



EA Access is not available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation EU boss Jim Ryan said it doesn't fit in Sony's ecosystem.



"We don't have anything against EA Access, we just need to position it," he said. "These sort of offerings they've got to fit into the framework of everything we do and everything that we offer. And we're just not quite comfortable with how it sits within the whole ecosystem of our digital offering, including PlayStation Plus."
