Rocket League Patch Notes: Lower ESRB Rating, Ball Adjustments, and More

Rocket League received a new patch that has adjusted hitboxes, fixed ball-bounce behavior, and lowered its ESRB rating. The soccer-with-cars game is now rated "E" after being lowered from "E10+," though Rocket League developer Psyonix says that this change should only affect parental control settings.

The patch notes were posted to the official Rocket League website, where Psyonix detailed which cars' hitboxes would be adjusted and how. Cars like Scarab and Grog weren't long enough, while Breakout and Hotshot were lacking in width. Breakout and the Batmobile were both "abnormally long," and Dominus was too short in both length and height.

Another issue that's been fixed is the collision on the Wasteland map, which featured incorrect bounce behaviour from the ball. An exploit that allowed cars to jump higher than they were supposed to has been fixed as well.

You can check out the rest of the details in the notes posted at the bottom of this article.

In other Rocket League news, the vehicular soccer game will get a physical edition that comes with four new cars. There's also a new mode on the way that turns the soccer-with-cars game into basketball-with-cars.
