Psychonauts Hits PS4 Today, Earlier Than Expected

The PS2-on-PS4 library grows today with the release of Psychonauts.

Sony announced earlier this week that the game would not come out today, June 7, but it is indeed live on the PlayStation Store. You can buy it right now for $10. It weighs in at 2.5 GB.

Psychonauts becomes the 27th game in the PS2-on-PS4 program. The most recent addition was Primal, which came out on May 31. You can see all 27 games in the library below.

Psychonauts was originally released in 2005 for PS2, along with the first Xbox and PC. A sequel was successfully funded on Fig earlier this year, raising more than $3.3 million.

A Psychonauts game for PlayStation VR called Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is also on the way; it is one of the games Sony will have playable at its E3 2016 booth.
