Injustice 2 Gameplay Reveal This Weekend
You won't have to wait until E3 next week to see NetherRealm's next fighting game. Injustice 2's gameplay debut is set for Saturday, June 11, at 5 PM PT at the Mortal Kombat X Esports Finals, creator Ed Boon announced on Twitter.
Injustice 2 was announced this week with a cinematic trailer. It features fighting amongst several characters, including Superman, The Flash, Batman, Aquaman, and Supergirl. Each character beats each other up a bit, then gains armor. It's not been confirmed if this is a new feature, but NetherRealm's cinematic trailers are known to show off some of the real game's mechanics--Mortal Kombat X's first trailer showed off the new environment attacks, in addition to the return of X-Ray moves. You can watch Injustice 2's trailer in the embed above.
We'll update you when the gameplay debuts, but those wanting to watch live can do so here.

Prior to its announcement, French gaming site Gameblog.fr reported that the Injustice sequel was in development. It was then leaked via a poster from GameStop, which featured Batman and the Flash facing off in the aforementioned armor--it's likely they had already beat each other up a bit.
