EA Play 2017: Star Wars Battlefront 2, Battlefield 1, Need for Speed, more – watch the livestream here
The EA Play E3 2017 presentation starts later today. You can watch the livestream right here along with us.
EA will be the first out of the gate this year, giving it a jump on everyone else. It all starts at 12pm Pacific, 4pm Eastern, 8pm BST and 9pm CEST.
During the presentation, DICE will give us the first look at the Battlefield 1 expansion In the Name of the Tsar. We already know a little bit about it, thanks to early information from DICE along with some nice artwork and news of the 1st Russian Women's Battalion of Death being included.
Because the Russian army DLC is out late summer, it's not too likely we'll get a look at the other two expansions, Turning Tides and Apocalypse. One can hope, though.
Ghost Games will definitely be showing off Need for Speed Payback which is out this November.
EA Sports will give us a look at FIFA 18, Madden NFL 18 and NBA Live 18. Expect to get a look at FIFA 18 running on Nintendo Switch finally, unless that is being saved for Nintendo's E3 announcements.
EA Sports UFC 3 will be released in early 2018, so E3 2017 would be the perfect opportunity to show it off. It's expected to be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
Of course, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be one of the main talking points during the presentation, especially since it's out later this year.
We expect a look at the multiplayer as it will be playable to both the public and press. This will also give you an idea of what to expect from the beta when it arrives in the fall. Hopefully, we'll also get a really good look at the new single-playercampaign.
Don't miss a single E3 2017 presentation. Keep track of all conference times for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Bethesda, EA, Ubisoft, and others through this handy link.
There are other Star Wars games in the pipeline, and it's high time we were given some concrete information on Visceral Games' Star Wars title which has been in the works for a while now. With Uncharted creator Amy Hennig penning it, the game should have an interesting storyline.
Respawn Entertainment are also working on a Star Wars title. Lots, and lots of Star Wars going on, right?
Then, there are the rumors. Will we get a look at the new IP from Bioware expected during fiscal year 2019? You never know. Known as codename Dylan, rumors state it is akin to an action, RPG, MMO but a rumor is a rumor is a rumor. Until we know for sure, keep your pants on. Please.
Dragon Age 4 may or may not make a showing, but all publishers like to surprise people. This would be a very welcome surprise to a couple of us here at VG247.
With Bioware continuing to work on Mass Effect: Andromeda updates and its multiplayer component, it's still up in the air on whether DLC is slated for the near future. It's possible, but the studio seems a bit busy cleaning things up at the moment.
Finally, we expect to see some EA Originals titles such as Fe which a couple of us went dreamy-eyed over last year, and there's also the adventure game Sea of Solitude. We're sure more indie-style games are to be announced, so keep your eyes peeled.
Of course, tomorrow Microsoft will host its Xbox E3 2017 Presentation, which mean we can expect another look at EA heavy-hitters Star Wars: Battlefront 2, FIFA 18, Madden NFL 18 and possibly Need for Speed Payback and Battlefield 1.
According to reports, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, FIFA 18 and Madden NFL 18 will be shown running in 4K on Xbox Scorpio during the show. We're pretty sure that will indeed be the case.
As usual, we will provide separate reports on anything and everything out of the EA E3 2017 Play presentation, and even more fun news throughout E3 week.
