Overwatch's seasonal event, Year of the Dog Lunar New Year, returns next week

The next Overwatch seasonal event will celebrate the new Lunar Year, Year of the Dog.

Blizzard has confirmed that Overwatch's new Lunar Year event is coming on Thursday, February 8. This year's event will be dedicated to the Year of the Dog.

Although Blizzard has not said what players can expect from this year's event, you can look at last year's to get an idea of what it's going to add. Getting new skins is a pretty safe bet, though, and last year's Year of the Rooster had plenty of them.

Overwatch recently received a big batch of skins and other cosmetics in the aptly named cosmetics update. Getting new skins in the Lunar New Year event would be fine, but hopefully Blizzard will bring us a bit more than that.
