Burnout Paradise Remastered reviews round up – all the scores in one place

Burnout is all about causing wrecks, but is this remaster one? Here's the critic verdicts…

A few years ago EA executives said they didn't see the point in releasing remasters of some of their classic games – but they might finally be coming around to it. They're starting with an absolute banger, too – Burnout Paradise, an incredible open-world racer and one of the best games of the last console generation.

Now, if you're asking me Paradise isn't quite the sublime Burnout 3 Takedown, but it's still an amazing, special game, and the existence of any EA remaster is good: it gives a little hope that one day we might see the likes of the Mass Effect or Dead Space trilogies get some re-release love.

Kirk's got our verdict in the VG247 review, but we figured we'd also round up the other reviews that are appearing – few though there are – so you can make an informed decision. Broadly speaking it seems like it's a solid if bare-bones remaster, mind.

If you'd like to know how the remaster stacks up to the original in a side-by-side, here's some handy comparison videos for that.

Here's the scores – they're out of ten unless otherwise noted.

If the reviews have you convinced, Burnout Paradise Remastered is out on March 16. The March date is only for Xbox One and PS4 – PC players will get a chance to play this remaster, but they'll have to wait until later in the year to do so.
