Pokemon Go Chikorita Community Day takes place September 22

The next Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place on September 22.

Grass-type Chikorita is the featured Pokemon for the ninth Pokemon Go Community Day event of 2018.

Originally discovered in the Johto region, Chikorita will appear in the wild for three hours. And if you evolve a Bayleef into Meganium during that three-hour window, your Meganium will know a special move to be announced later.

Technical Machines will be available only to Meganium caught or evolved during Community Day on September 22.

• Chikorita Community Day Times in Europe and Africa: 10am to 1pm BST, 11am to 2pm CET
• Chikorita Community Day Times in North America: 11am to 2pm PST, 2pm to 5pm EST
  

Plus, you can earn three-times Catch XP throughout the event, supercharging your ability to level up.

Dates for the Community Day events in October and November were announced this week.

The events will take place on Sunday, October 21, and Saturday, November 10. The featured Pokemon and special bonuses will be announced at later date.

Ninatic Labs held the first Community Day event in January with Pikachu. February's Pokemon was Dratini, March was Bulbasaur, in April it was Mareep, May's Pokemon was Charmander, in June the Pokemon was Larvitar, July was Squirtle, and this month it was Eevee.

Don't forget: until August 19 at 9pm PDT and August 20 at 12am EDT, 5am BST, all trades—including Special Trades—will cost 25% less Stardust to complete.

This applies to all friends, even brand-new ones.
