In River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, our beloved hero Kunio takes on the role of Guan Yu, wandering through the warring states of feudal China.
The story begins in the aftermath of the Battle of Red Cliffs and continues until it reaches its historical climax at the Battle of Wuzhang Plains. Featuring a cast of 100 unique River City characters, the adventure wouldn’t be complete without a crazy, comedic twist.

You can now ride Red Hare and charge through stages on its back! Crush anyone who dares stand in your way. And since it’s treated like a bike, you can find extra parts to customize it and give it the look it deserves.

Tactics are a hallmark of Three Kingdoms warfare. The classic Fire Tactics return, raining fiery arrows across the battlefield, alongside Water Tactics that sweep enemies away.
This time, however, a new Tactic has been added—one that summons generals who aided you in the past to fight by your side. Combine Special Attacks and Tactics to clear stages like a true general… or at least the way Kunio imagines it!
