The Junk Jet, the Fallout 4 gun that fires any of the junk you collect instead of bullets, can be made to fire pre-war money.

Because whatever you fire from it will do the same damage, and because you need to melt this junk for resources, pre-war money make the perfect bullets. They weigh almost nothing, and will keep you from worrying about weight management and encumbrance.
