Transistor Sells 1 Million-Plus Copies
Bastion developer Supergiant Games has announced that its second game, Transistor, has reached a new sales milestone. The 2014 PC and PlayStation 4 game has now sold more than 1 million copies.
That's up from 600,000, a figure that was announced in January 2015.
"We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to stick together as a team and with any luck keep making the kinds of games that resonate with you for a long time to come," Supergiant said in a blog post (via NeoGAF).
Supergiant's first game, Bastion, has sold more than 3 million copies.
"Word-of-mouth is what kept Bastion going for way, way longer than we could have imagined, and it's what's kept Transistor going strong, too," creative director Greg Kasavin said at the time. Kasavin is a former GameSpot senior editor.
Transistor is also available for iOS devices, though no Xbox versions have been announced. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's review.
