Fallout 4's Dogmeat Wins Award for Best Dog
Bethesda's Fallout 4 has already won a Game of the Year award, but that's not the only honor bestowed on the post-apocalyptic RPG. The real-world dog who portrayed Dogmeat in the game was named Top Video Game Dog of 2015 at CW's World Dog Awards for her role in Fallout 4. Yes, the World Dog Awards exist.
The winners of this year's World Dog Awards were actually announced in the middle of January, but Bethesda only just this week talked about its win. The developer shared the image below, showcasing the real-world Dogmeat, a German Shepard named River, along with her fire hydrant prize (via PC Gamer).
River's owner is Bethesda lead level designer Joel Burgess.
