The apocalypse in The Division extends far beyond New York – video

The Division takes place entirely in Manhattan, but the consequences of the super bug that devastates New York reach far beyond the island.

This new The Division short was produced in collaboration with the community, which is super rad. But it's also very cool to learn more about the extensive end-of-the-world scenario Ubisoft Massive plotted out to serve as the background for its shooter RPG.

You get a few hints of what's going on outside New York if you pay close attention to story materials in the game, but here's it's much more clearly and accessibly spelled out. Poor old Canada, eh?
