Deadpool DVD/Blu-Ray Out Now, Watch Silly Promo Here

After conquering the box office in February, Fox's R-rated over-the-top superhero movie Deadpool arrives today, May 10, on DVD and Blu-ray. To hype the release, Fox put out a silly video that riffs on commercials for erectile dysfunction medication such as Viagra and Cialis. Take a look:

— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) May 5, 2016The home video version of Deadpool comes with deleted scenes, director's commentary, a gag reel, a gallery of images (concept art, costumes, storyboards; etc), and something called Deadpool's Fun Sack. There is also audio commentary from star Ryan Reynolds, and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

After Deadpool's runaway success earlier this year (it made more than $760 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo), it came as little surprise when Fox officially announced a sequel in April.

It's still very much early days for the Deadpool sequel, director Tim Miller told Collider, explaining that he's done some basic design work, but it won't officially enter production until the script is ready.

"The writers have been working on the script…The script comes first," he said. "You've got to get that."

As of yet, there is no word on the follow-up's story, but you can probably expect it to be a tongue-in-cheek, fourth wall-breaking, over-the-top action movie like the first one.
