Nintendo's Shooter Splatoon 2 Launching In July

During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, the developer revealed the fast-approaching release date for Splatoon 2: July 21

The full gameplay breakout is at the top of this story, but Nintendo also showed off a few more details about the game. Splatoon 2 will include a "horde mode"-like arena called Salmon Run. In this mode, you'll team up with friends to take down waves of enemies and try to collect salmon eggs.

In addition, Splatoon 2 will launch alongside three new Amiibo variatons. The new Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, and Squid will allow you to save outfits and quickly swap your loadout when you join a friend on someone else's system.
