Destiny 2 beta kicks off next month, launch date brought forward, PC release date set for October

Destiny 2 innocently dated in a lengthy email we almost didn't read.

Destiny 2 is releasing two days earlier than previously announced, apparently. It's now due on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6, not September 8.

That's via press release from Activision Blizzard, accompanying the new Destiny 2 E3 2017 trailer and PS4 exclusive content reveal.

As for our PC pals, they'll be able to play Destiny 2 from October 24. They can start buying it right now, natch; pre-orders are available via Battle.net.

We all wanted some beta news out of E3 2017 and we got it: Destiny 2 early access begins at 10:00am PT July 18 (hit the link to see when that is in your timezone) for those who pre-ordered on PS4.

Those who pre-ordered Destiny 2 on Xbox One can join the fun from 10:00am PT July 19.

Not gonna pre-order? No worries. All PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold members can try the Destiny 2 beta from 10:00am PT July 21.

There will be a Destiny 2 PC beta, too. It's scheduled for August, with no firm date available at this time, but an update is promised soon.
