Fortnite Week 7 challenges: how to earn extra XP and Battle Stars

Fortnite Week 7 challenges are now live – here's what you need to do for a chance to earn extra XP and Battle Stars.

Once again there are seven challenges to complete, and completing at least four of these will hand the player a bonus 4,000 XP.

These challenges come in the same week that Fortnite adds the vending machine, High Explosives v2, and makes some heavy tweaks to weaponry.

Remember you have to own the Season 3 Battle Pass to take advantage of these challenges, which will help push you up the tiers.
Fortnite Week 7 Challenges

• Deal damage with shotguns to opponents – 5 Stars
  
  Shoot people in the face with a shotgun. Just get it done. You don't have to kill, just hurt people with shotguns. A lot.
• Suppressed weapon eliminations – 5 Stars
  
  Grab a silenced gun and blow some enemies away. Do it.
• Search Chests in Lonely Lodge – 5 Stars
  
  Keep dropping in at Lonely Lodge and get hunting those chests down.
• Eliminate opponents in Shifty Shafts – 5 Stars
  
  Shifty Shafts is finally getting some love for those who like to dive straight into the action. Wipe out 3 opponents in that killzone.
• Search a Chest, Ammo Box, and Supply Drop in a single match (Hard) – 10 Stars
  
  This is pretty self-explanatory – try not to get killed and search out a chest, an ammo box, and see if you can fight your way to a Supply Box. Others will be doing the same so watch out.
• Search the Hidden Gnome in different named locations (Hard) – 10 Stars
  
  Scout around the entire map and find the Hidden Gnome in different map locations.
• Follow the Treasure Map found in Retail Row (Hard) – 10 Stars
  
  Head to Retail Row, find the treasure map, then head to the location marked there and swipe at some trees.
  

All previous weekly challenges remain live, so you can still catch up and finish off any stragglers there.

• Week 2 Challenges: All forbidden dance locations
• Week 3 Challenges: Snobby Shores treasure map, bullseye locations
• Week 4 Challenges: Ice Cream Truck locations
• Week 5 Challenges: Anarchy Acres treasure map, Gas Station locations
• Week 6 Challenges: Summit Mountain Peaks, Search between a Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus
  

All of these challenges are live across all formats now, and that includes the recently released mobile version of Fortnite.

Last week developer Epic Games also released the new Battle Royale Starter Pack, offering players cheap V-Bucks and a pretty cool outfit. And if you're a Twitch Prime subscriber, you can get the Instigator Pickaxe.
