Onrush open beta goes live next week on PS4, Xbox One
The open beta for Onrush, the next racing game from former Evolution Studios developers, kicks off in just a few days.
Codemasters has confirmed that the Onrush beta will start on Thursday, May 17 on PS4, and Xbox One. The beta will be live for the entire weekend, before it wraps up on Monday, May 21.
It all kicks off at precisely 6am PT, 9am ET, 2pm BST on Thursday, and goes offline 2am PT, 5am ET, 10am BST on Monday.
The Onrush beta is open to all, but those who pre-order the game digitally on PS4, or through participating retailers like Amazon, GAME, and Tesco will gain access on Tuesday, May 15.
The beta sounds like it's going to be full of content. Outside of a tutorial mode to teach you the basics, you'll also find Superstar Practice available. This mode supports co-op, and pits players against the AI before they're ready to face others in online modes.

Of which there are two: Overdrive, and Countdown. You'll be playing on two of the game's maps, and Codemasters promises changes to the weather conditions and time of day throughout the beta.
Four vehicle classes will be available. The Blade, Vortex, Interceptor, Titan. Even the game's photo mode is included in the beta, though you'll only be able to use it when playing solo.
Onrush launches June 5 for PS4, and Xbox One. A PC version is planned for release sometime later. If you're not sure what Onrush is, maybe some raw gameplay footage will help with that.
