It looks like Fortnite might be getting a gifting system sometime soon

Fortnite may be getting an update that allows players to gift items, possibly using V-Bucks.

After teasing an update that will allow players to gift items to one another, it looks like the new feature might be coming to the game soon.

It was teased in the Fortnite Battle Royale State of Development V4 earlier this year, with Epic saying, “If you're feeling generous, we have a feature on the horizon just for you.”

The Fortnite Battle Royale Leaks Twitter account has posted datamined files from the game alluding to gifting options, along with a related currency that seems to limit players' ability to gift items.

Looks like Epic has heavily updated the Gifting Options from last update, here's the current list. Seems like you'll have to use some sort of "currency" to send gifts, maybe V-Bucks?

So it may well cost you V-Bucks to send items to your buddies. You'd better make sure they're worth it.

Meanwhile, Fortnite was officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch during Nintendo's E3 2018 Direct.
