Fortnite's bonus XP weekend is live

As Season 4 comes to an end, Fortnite is handing out double XP to all player this weekend.

Players will earn an extra 100% bonus XP from now until Monday July 2 as Epic helps you rise up those tiers and unlock more goodies from the Battle Pass.

Reach tier 100 and you'll grab that coveted Omega skin.

There's less than two weeks to go of Season 4, before Fortnite Season 5 kicks off on July 12. You'll have noticed a countdown on screens through the map – what exactly are they teasing?

If you're still looking to rack up XP, don't forget to nail down all the Week 9 Challenges, including following the treasure map in Haunted Hills, jumping in and using a shopping cart and searching for chests in Moisty Mire.

This week should have seen the release of the Playground LTM but that's currently delayed due to matchmaking problems.
