Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom passa in fase Gold, ciò significa che ha ultimato la fase di sviluppo. L'annuncio è stato dato tramite Twitter da FDG Entertainment:

Il gioco, sviluppato da Game Atelier, verrà pubblicato il 4 dicembre su Switch, PlayStation 4 e Xbox One. Per la versione PC bisognerà aspettare il primo quarto del 2019. Inoltre solo su Switch e PlayStation 4 verrà rilasciata la versione fisica, mentre per Xbox One e PC sarà possibile acquistare esclusivamente la versione digitale.
