Newcomer is a fantasy, language learning RPG where you must learn a new language to communicate and survive. Wielding your grandpa's old and incomplete dictionary, you set out to learn a new language, and save Dawn from the evil Dark Crimson!
Learn Spanish, French, or Italian! Japanese will be added if the Kickstarter stretch goal is reached!

The characters in Dawn speak your target language. Luckily, you are able to translate sentences and individual words to aid understanding.
Adventuring outside of villages isn't safe. The creatures of Dawn have been hexed by the Dark Crimson, attacking everything on sight. You must wield your new language to cast magic and defend yourself! This is how you practice and master the words and phrases you have learned.
The more phrases you acquire, the more phrases and statements you can say, and the more quests, items, and information you can receive in conversations!
The more you learn, the more your intelligence increases, and the more you can augment your magical abilities!
All words and phrases can be reviewed in the Dictionary!
Further enhance your understanding of the target language through short stories! These can be found through the world and further enhance your intelligence level.
