Rise of the Tomb Raider 1 TB Xbox One Bundle Announced

Microsoft has announced a new Xbox One bundle themed around the upcoming Xbox timed-exclusive, Rise of the Tomb Raider. Included in the package is a 1 TB Xbox One console (jet black; no special design), as well as digital copies of Rise of the Tomb Raider and the Definitive Edition of the 2013 reboot.

In addition, the bundle comes with an "exclusive" Tactical Survival Kit DLC pack, which features a new outfit, "upgraded abilities," and weapon skin for main character Lara Croft. The Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One bundle will sell for $400 and launches on November 3, one week before the game arrives. Presumably, this will work like the Halo 5: Guardians bundle, and Rise of the Tomb Raider won't actually unlock until its official release date a week later. We've followed up with Microsoft in an attempt to confirm.

In the United States, the bundle will be sold exclusively through Microsoft Stores and Best Buy.

This package adds to Microsoft's already-extensive lineup of bundles themed around popular games. Others currently available include those for Madden NFL 16, FIFA 16, Forza Motorsport 6, and Gears of War Ultimate Edition. In addition, Microsoft will release the Xbox One Elite Bundle in November, while a Halo 5: Guardians system will debut in October.

The Rise of the Tomb Raider bundle is one of five new systems that Microsoft will announce this week. Microsoft will reveal the next four every day through Friday.
