Batman: Arkham Knight Returns to PC With Free Bonus Games
Right on schedule, Batman: Arkham Knight's PC edition returned to Steam today. It was originally released in June alongside the console versions, but was later pulled due to bugs and other issues.
To mark the game's re-launch, Warner Bros. has announced that everyone who already bought Arkham Knight for PC or buys it before November 16 will get free copies of the games listed below.
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY
Batman: Arkham City GOTY
Batman: Arkham Origins
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
"We're actively working with our partners at Valve to make this happen as soon as we can, so watch your Steam Library," Warner Bros. said. "We are aiming to deliver all of the games by December."
In addition, as a "thank you" to PC players, developer Rocksteady is creating a new "Community Challenge Pack." The contents of this pack were not disclosed, but Warner Bros. said PC players on Steam will receive access to the maps one week before they come to consoles.
More details will be announced later.
On top of that, Warner Bros. has teamed up with Valve for a cross-game promotion between Arkham Knight and Team Fortress 2. Now through November 16, Valve is challenging players to create Arkham-themed cosmetic items for Team Fortress 2 using the Workshop tools. Valve will decide the winning items, which will then be given away to everyone who bought Arkham Knight before November 16.
The people who created the winning wares will get more than two dozen free Warner Bros. games on Steam, including Arkham Knight, Mad Max, and Lego Worlds. More details about this promotion, including how to enter, are available here.
