Battlefield 1 E3 Livestream Will Showcase 64-Player Battles

Battlefield 1's first livestream will take place at E3 2016 in June, Electronic Arts has announced.

The stream will begin at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST on Sunday, June 12, which is one hour after EA's E3 briefing begins that day.

"Excited to see Battlefield 1 in action? Tune in on June 12 at 2 PM PT for Battlefield Squads, where 64 players will take part in the first-ever livestream of Battlefield 1 gameplay," reads a line from the event's description on the Battlefield website (via GameZone).

Battlefield fans Battlefield Friends - Noob and StoneMountain64 will server as captains, while their teams will be made up of "some of the most well-known YouTubers and Twitch streamers around, as well as a few special guests."

Anyone has a shot at attending the event and participating in the livestream. To win a trip to E3 for the EA Play event, you need to follow @Battlefield and tweet @Battlefield with a video explaining why you should get the gig. Entries must be submitted by June 3.

You can see the full contest rules here.

Battlefield 1 launches on October 21, though people with an EA/Origin Access membership or those who pick up the deluxe edition can get in on October 18. Additionally, a beta will be held sometime before launch.

We also recently learned that EA Studios boss Patrick Soderlund initially rejected the pitch for Battlefield 1.
