Battlefield 1: Everything You Need to Know

Battlefield 1 has just launched via EA Early Access as a limited trial version; though, the full version will launch for everyone else on October 21. With so much excitement stirring around the latest entry of this long running, first-person shooter series, we've compiled a series of news stories, features, and videos detailing all the essential details about it.

Be sure to check back often as we update this article with additional news, features, and gameplay videos.

The Review
"With Battlefield 1, EA and DICE have proven the viability of World War 1 as a time period worth revisiting in first-person shooters. It brings into focus countries and nationalities that do not exist today while also shedding light on how the outcome of that war has shaped our lives. As World War II shooters proved many years ago, no game can truly capture the entirety of a global conflict. This is why the focused structure of the War Stories anthology works well. Moreover, Operations succeeds as an effective educational primer on the battles that this gripping adversarial mode are based on. Battlefield 1 is just an introduction to one of the deadliest world events in history, but it is an outstanding, feature-rich package in both its emotional stories and strong multiplayer." Battlefield 1 sets the series's signature multiplayer in the backdrop of World War I, throwing players into its many brutal historical battles. The game also sports a multi-perspective single-player campaign, which follows the stories of five soldiers fighting across various events during the Great War.
