Ubisoft E3 2017 presentation: Far Cry 5, Assassin's Creed: Origins, South Park, more – watch the livestream here
Ubisoft will host its E3 2017 presentation this afternoon, and as with all live stage shows, you can watch the livestream right here.
Watch live video from Ubisoft on www.twitch.tv
Ubisoft will take the to the E3 2017 stage come 1pm Pacific, 4pm Eastern, 9pm BST, 10pm CEST.
Whether it will kick things off with an Assassin's Creed: Origins bang remains to be seen, since the company went full reveal during the Xbox E3 2017 briefing yesterday with an announcement trailer and a gameplay demonstration video.
The game has been spoiled to ancient Egypt and back, time and again since 2016. The latest information on the game came Saturday when an early copy of the next Game Informer issue was leaked.
After the show was over, Ubisoft released a bevy of information on the game confirming leaks and rumors that Origins boasts a more dynamic world than previous entries, and intelligent AI programming which will see NPCs operating on a day/night cycle “working, sleeping, socializing, eating, peeing, and so on”.
Players can also climb pretty much everything in the game, make use of various skill trees, travel across the game world using chariots, horses, camels and even shoot enemies in the face with arrows from their backs.

The main character, Bayek, is the “last of the Medjay” which were tasked with guarding palaces and tombs for Egyptian royalty, but since players will be able to loot tombs and ruins and underwater chambers, it sounds as though Bayek will have a falling out with his superiors at some point.
Assassins Creed: Origins releases on October 27 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Hopefully, the PC version won't be delayed. Ubisoft tried to break this track record with the PC release of Assassin's Creed: Unity. Unfortunately, it probably should have been delayed on the platform in the end, but there were issues with it on consoles too if you recall.
The last Assassin's Creed game released, Syndicate, arrived on PC four weeks after Xbox One and PS4. This was to ensure a smooth launch, and a targeted 1080p and 30fps.
Far Cry 5 will definitely have a strong showing, and we'll get to see some actual gameplay footage, and hopefully more information on the entire campaign being playable in co-op.
It would great if the team behind Far Cry 5 also showed off the character creator along with “the largest customization weapon and vehicle roster” ever in the series. Plus, we're rather interested in seeing the ability to engage in aerial dogfights and find out more on the map editor.
The game's setting and subject matter caused a bit of controversy when it was first announced, so hopefully much of it will be cleared up when more information is provided today.
Far Cry 5 is out February 27, 2018 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
We'll also get another look at the twice-delayed South Park: The Fractured But Whole today, which was detailed in full at E3 2016. It's been a while coming, but hopefully the delays will make the wait worthwhile when it releases on October 17.
The development team wanted to make sure everything was up to par, especially since it will feature an all-new combat system which differs quite a bit from the first game.
Players can expect combat to be more tactical-based this time out with more options and the ability to move team members to different positions around the battleground. New super powers include flatulence that upon being released, can rip a hole in the space-time continuum.
It will also be “significantly” longer with roughly twice the playtime of the first game, with the town and surrounding area much larger. No wonder it's been delayed more than once.
The ability for players to create their own hero and backstory sounds rather fun, so does the new looting and crafting system. Plus, who doesn't want to play as a superhero alongside Coon & Friends?
Don't forget: anyone who purchases the game will receive South Park: The Stick of Truth for free and can start playing it immediately. Quick tip: always choose Butters as your partner. He rocks.
We also expect Ubisoft to discuss its support for Switch, and especially Mario and Rabbids RPG cross-over for Switch, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Details on the latest installment of Just Dance will be announced and we'll also be getting a look at The Crew 2 .
Obviously, there'll be more news on future plans for The Division Year 2, probably some For Honor updates thrown in for good measure and Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege will probably see some love as well.
Surely, Ubisoft has other goodies hidden in its E3 2017 bag: like that mysterious new IP it's working on. It's not coming until fiscal year 2019, so it is quite a ways out.
We'll have to wait and see what it happens to be later today.
Also, after the show is over with, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot will be hosting his first ever Reddit AMA. You may want to stop by and see what he has to say.
As we state in all of our E3 conference posts, we'll provide you with separate reports on anything out of the presentation.
