These New Features Come to PC Xbox App
It's not just the Xbox One that's getting new updates. Microsoft has now pushed out a new update for the Xbox app on Windows 10 PCs and tablets, delivering features like Facebook integration and the ability to record voiceover for Game DVR clips, among other things.
Facebook comes to the Xbox app (and also Xbox.com) through a Facebook Friend Finder. According to Microsoft, this was a top-requested feature from the community. With the update applied, you'll see a Facebook icon in the Suggested Friends area of the Friends column. Click on it to link your Facebook account to your Xbox Live account and then you'll start seeing suggested friends who you can then add on Xbox Live.
Since the feature is brand new, you might not see a lot of Facebook friend suggestions right away. This functionality does not appear to have gone live just yet on Xbox.com, but it should be there by the end of the week, Microsoft said.
The other major new feature now available in the Xbox app for PC is voiceover recording support for Game DVR clips. You can now use a headset to narrate clips; press Win + Alt + M to turn your microphone on. If you want to keep the microphone on for all sessions, follow these instructions:
Go to Game bar > Settings > Audio or Xbox app > Settings > Game DVR > Audio.
In addition, you can now add a custom hotkey specifically for recording. The clips you create can then be shared on Xbox Live or other social networks just as before. Voice recording is already available on Xbox One through Kinect.
Finally, this week's Xbox app update introduces video recording and screenshot support for all games (previously, some games were left out) and a new interface for the Xbox Store that spans both PC and Xbox One games.

The Xbox One's latest update was the New Xbox One Experience, which arrived last week. It totally overhauled the dashboard and introduced backwards compatibility support for some Xbox 360 games, among other things.
