Next PS2-on-PS4 Game Revealed, Here's When It Arrives
The PS2-on-PS4 catalog will add its 26th game this coming Tuesday, May 31, Sony has announced. Joining the lineup on that date will be Primal, which originally came out in 2003 for PS2 and is already available digitally for PlayStation 3.
GameSpot's Primal review scored the game a 7.9/10. GameSpot said Primal was a "showcase game" for the PS2 and "one that will particularly appeal to fans of other occult-themed action adventure games, such as the Soul Reaver series by Crystal Dynamics."
In December 2015, when the first PS2-on-PS4 games were released, PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida said Sony will work "tirelessly" to release even more PS2 games for PS4 "on a regular basis." The company is also asking for your suggestions for which games should be added.
On the subject of price points for the PS2-on-PS4 games, Yoshida said the emulation technology that makes it possible, among other things, doesn't necessarily come cheap. That's why Sony is charging $10-$15 for games you might already own.
